The Executive Session brought leaders of U.S. human rights and human relations commissions together with civil rights leaders, police leaders and Harvard faculty for a series of meetings focused on ways to expand the role of human rights commissions in addressing issues of discrimination in U.S. criminal justice systems. A series of papers was produced that highlights best practices, probes the history of human rights commissions in the U.S. and explores their relationship to human rights organizations around the globe.
